Rummy 500 (500 Rum) is a Rummy variant scored to 500 points, where you can draw from the discard pile and lay off onto any meld on the table.
Deal 7 cards each (13 with two players). Turn one card up for the discard pile; the rest is the stock.
Draw the top stock card or any discard (taking all cards above it). Meld sets and runs, lay off onto opponents' melds, then discard. Aces can be high or low.
Aces 15, face cards 10, 2–10 face value. Melded cards score positive, deadwood negative. Going out scores a bonus. First to 500 wins.
