Sevens, also called Fan Tan, is a sequencing game where players build four suits outward from the 7s. Empty your hand first to win.
Deal the full deck evenly. The player holding the 7 of diamonds starts by playing it to the center.
In turn, play a 7 of any suit, or build on a played suit by laying the next card up or down in sequence (6 below a 7, 8 above). If you cannot play, pass.
The first player to play all their cards wins. Strategy comes from holding cards back to force opponents to pass.
Each suit's sequence starts from the 7, which is the only card you can play to open a new suit.
The player who played last plays again, since no one else can move.
